Each season youth from across the Nation have the opportunity to compete at NAGDA events held at local hosting hunt clubs. Youth must be at least 12 years old to compete. Pointing dogs and flushing dogs compete in the same division. Each youth is accompanied in the field by a parent or guardian. The youth and their dog have 20 minutes to hunt a field planted with 4 birds. The score is based on the number of bird finds, bagged birds, unused time and unused shells.

We encourage each NAGDA member to get involved and bring their children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews or neighborhood youth to a NAGDA event. If you have any questions or you would like to sponsor a youth in the upcoming season give us a call at 719-348-5451, you may have to leave a message but that is only because we can’t take the phone to the field.
